“For centuries, cursive handwriting has been an art. To a growing number of young people, it is a mystery. The sinuous letters of the cursive alphabet, swirled on countless love letters, credit card slips and banners above elementary school chalk boards are going the way of the quill and inkwell. With computer keyboards and smartphones increasingly occupying young fingers, the gradual death of the fancier ABC’s is revealing some unforeseen challenges.”
Sandy Schefkind, a pediatric occupational therapist in Bethesda, Md., and pediatric coordinator for the American Occupational Therapy Association, said that learning cursive helped students hone their fine motor skills.
“It’s the dexterity, the fluidity, the right amount of pressure to put with pen and pencil on paper,” Ms. Schefkind said, adding that for some students cursive is easier to learn than printing.”

Hello just wanted to give you a quick heads up and let you know a few of the pictures aren’t loading properly. I’m not sure why but I think its a linking issue. I’ve tried it in two different web browsers and both show the same outcome.

Not sure why pics load improperly from your site. They load fine on mine. Unfortunately, I cannot replicate your settings from my computer. I hope it was a simple glitch that has now passed. Thank you for advising–I will remain vigilant and wait to hear if others have had a similar problem.

I do love the manner in which you have framed this specific difficulty plus it does indeed supply me a lot of fodder for consideration. Nonetheless, coming from just what I have personally seen, I just wish as other opinions pack on that people today remain on point and in no way start on a soap box regarding the news of the day. Still, thank you for this excellent point and whilst I can not concur with the idea in totality, I value your point of view.
